We so enjoyed our time with the dogs at the State Park, (see narrative further down the page) that we loaded up some of the dogs a few days later and hit the lake again! You'll see Esau, GiGi, and Little Red in these photos.

A Dog's Day Out -Part 1
Monday, April 20th dawned clear, sunny and fairly warm. Dan loaded up Esau, Vixie, Rumor, Riley, and Little Red, (a Vixen x Esau pup that we kept from their New Year's Day 2020 Litter) and headed out for the park.
We are very blessed to have some beautiful State land about 30 minutes away from us! Rugged trails, rolling hills, several large ponds and lakes, and wide open fields- the perfect place for Labradors! The whole afternoon was spent walking, swimming, retrieving, and taking in the beautiful scenery. We hope to have many more such trips this summer and autumn with our dogs.
Although all of the dogs enjoyed themselves, Esau was by far and away the star of the day! He is an amazing boy, and is well on his way for being trained for waterfowl hunting. He is intelligent and has a perfect temperament. He remains calm and follows directions, but also has wonderful drive for retrieving and swimming. Dan cannot wait to bring him out duck hunting this fall!
